Winter in Chicago

  WOWSERS! Yesterday morning was 19 degrees outside and it's not even officially winter.  But I'm prepared.  Got my windbreaking coat, gloves, scarf, and now I'm gonna get the shoes^^  Is it bad that I like getting new things? ha ha

  It is supposed to snow again today, and hopefully Ryan won't be home too late.  It's nice that we don't have to drive to places, because public transportation is so convienient. Except when they are late.. :)

   So, today is my day off...usually that means  I am not tutoring or substituting.  Right now, it seems pretty consistent, because I have been getting calls to sub at least 2 or even 3 times a week.  At least I get to see the schools and get a head's up about them, right? 

   Well, with the cold winter coming, everyone be safe, and stay warm!

  So experiencing the beginning of the so called Chicago winter.^^  Right now, just sitting at home and relaxing.  Was entertaining a house guest the last couple of days.  ^^Ryan's brother, Jayson, was here to visit us.  But now, I think I am a bit sick and might have caught something....It's all good, and i'm glad to have my day off today. 

  So, can't wait to come home to Philadelphia for Thanksgiving.  It'll be a few days, but we are definately going to make the most of it while there^^

  Praying for the family and friends in MN....

It puts things into perspective~  It was a bridge that Ryan oppa used to drive on all the time! We may not think about it, but so many things that just happens without us thinking twice!  Scary, but something seriously to be addressed~ 

  And also those missionaries who are in places that are just a risk to begin with.  Anyhow, praying and hoping good thoughts for them....

    Just bored to tears these days, I guess..^^   Not that Chicago is so boring, but without a job, I am trying to be very careful with my summer funds.  Still just spending my days working out at the pool and stopping by Borders sometimes to read Harry Potter. 

  But we did have a weekend with Ryan's parents.  They came to visit for a few days, and we drove around Chicago.  We also saw the Shanghai version of Cirq de Solial which was sooooo cute (the youngest one there was 10 years old. )  Just seeing it live was awesome.  His parents really loved it, too^^ 

  anyway, still unable to get my computer to work on the internet at home. So unfortunately any pictures I have will have to wait until I can get wireless connection somewhere, because at least THAT stil works.

 So, nothing else to report,  Waiting to hear back from a school that I interviewed at... Hopefully I will know by the end of this week. 

   WOW!  Just joined a gym a few days ago and have been taking group classes.  Well 2 so far.  Yesterday it was water workout, today was power step.  Boy, did I get a workout.  I never took a step class in my life, and it was a high intensity class. JEEZ! When I left, I felt like I was walking in slow motion and even floating.  Not because it felt good, but I just don't know how I made it home! 

  Anyway, so far, all is good.  I got in touch with a pastor from one of the churches here... It's downtown, and funny as it sounds, I have to take a bus to get there^^ Ha Ha. To go to church, i'm taking public transportation.  It just sounds funny.  I guess we can drive, but parking is not going to be too cooperative.  But i don't mind^^ 

  I'm going to try to put some pics up from the last days at my school.  So we'll see if it works!
